Let’s do it! Cyprus

On Sunday 1/11 we met with some friends and families in Dasoudi beach to participate to the cleaning campaign organized by “let’s do it Cyprus”.
Equipped with gloves, bags, masks (and antiseptic gel ?) we started walking along the beach and the park: it is surprising to see directly the quantity and the type of garbage that is hiding in every corner of the city. Cans, straws and especially plastic straw housings, cigarettes, plastic bags, food containers, diapers… We could unfortunately collect a bit of everything.
We closed the day with the strong impression that besides the obvious benefit for the environment, a clean city would be much more pleasant and appealing to live in.
And also that with a small effort from everybody, the situation would improve enormously, because to keep clean is easier than cleaning!
